Valorant Patch 10.04 Agent Tier List: Who Dominates the Current Meta
Patch 10.04 has shaken up the Valorant competitive meta in significant ways, with several agents rising and falling in the tier rankings. The biggest winner of this patch cycle is Clove, whose reworked Meddle ability now applies a four-second decay that cuts through even the most aggressive pushes. Professional teams have quickly adopted Clove as a must-pick on maps like Abyss and Lotus, where controlling choke points is essential. Meanwhile, Jett's dominance has finally waned after the Tailwind cooldown increase from six to ten seconds, pushing her out of the S-tier for the first time in over a year.
The S-tier is now occupied by Clove, Omen, and Cypher. Omen's paranoia buff, which increased the blind duration by half a second, has made him the premier controller at every level of play. His ability to reposition with Shrouded Step while maintaining site control gives him unmatched flexibility. Cypher's neural theft rework, which now reveals enemy positions for three full seconds after a kill, has transformed him from a passive information gatherer into a round-deciding playmaker. Teams running Omen and Cypher together are seeing a noticeable increase in defensive round win rates across all competitive tiers.
The A-tier features Sova, Killjoy, and Iso. Sova remains the premier initiator thanks to his unmatched information-gathering toolkit, though his pickrate has dipped slightly as teams experiment with Fade on certain maps. Killjoy's turret damage buff keeps her relevant on smaller maps where her lockdown ultimate can single-handedly win rounds. Iso is the surprise entrant at A-tier, as his reworked Kill Contract ultimate now functions as a guaranteed one-versus-one that removes the target from the round for five seconds, essentially creating a numbers advantage even without securing the kill.
Agents to avoid in competitive play this patch include Yoru, Phoenix, and Harbor. Yoru's dimensional drift nerf removed his ability to defuse the spike while in his ultimate, eliminating the clutch potential that justified his niche pick status. Phoenix has received no meaningful buffs in three consecutive patches and simply cannot compete with other duelists for a roster spot. Harbor remains a theoretically interesting controller whose water-based utility is too easily countered by coordinated teams.
